Travel for food
A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. That’s true not only to a man but everyone. The way we see food has enormously changed. Nowadays, it is being incorporated to leisure and travelling. When you say travelling, there are several things to consider and one of which is having a 24 hour transportation to get to places and have those candid shots of those food and family memories.
Pack your things with your family and let’s head to a place where you need to experience a great ambience and incredible views whenever you eat, Baguio City. This is known to be the summer capital of the Philippines. There are other great places in the Philippines but let us begin in this cold little city. Baguio is also known for its cold weather so cozy hotels and cafes are everywhere. The list goes on but I’ll just give you 5 known places where your family can eat tasty food and hang-out. This is based on experience and people’s choice.
Place to eat
First, 50’s Diner which is in Upper General Luna Road. It is considered to be an American retro diner. When I say American retro, expect for pasta, burgers, steak, fish and chips. You’ll be reminded of jukebox, servers on skates and old-school kind of vibe. Second is Amare La Cucina Restaurant in Albergo Hotel. Fortunately, this restaurant is in a hotel so it will be impossible for you not to try this. For sure, your kids will love this since they can create their own pizza, you heard it right, together with your kids, you can place the toppings of your choice and will wake up on your inner Italian instincts for food.
Third is beside Baguio’s SM mall, Hill Station. After doing shopping, you can proceed to this restaurant which is known for garnering Miele’s best restaturant in Asia Awards. They cover European, American and Asian cooking. Anyone in your family who loves book and arts, this restaurant has a gift shop for these. Fourth is Canto restaurant which is just beside Burnham Park. This restaurant is famous for their baby back ribs which can be combined to rice or mashed potato. Nothing to worry with kids getting bored, there’s a near playground area.
Experiencing limited budget? Baguio has it all. Lastly, Good taste cafe and restaurant in Carino Street beside Rizal Monument. From Asian to Filipino food and you may be vegetarian or not, this restaurant has something for everyone.
If you are fond of Korean food, my little take away for you is Red Station in Legarda. This is my personal favourite. Amazing service, tasty Korean cuisines plus you can cook your own food. A little worried how to get to these places? That isn’t a problem. One of the best things in Baguio is that whenever you go, Cars are available to rent 24 hours in a week. This vehicle is the most convenient one to have to reach those places. Another best thing in Baguio is its people. They are easy to speak to in terms of directions. Now, what’s left is see you soon.
